Registered Nurse Wanted for Home Care in Vetlanda

Do you want to be part of an engaged team and continue to develop in your profession? We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to contribute to safe and quality care for individuals within support for disabilities and social psychiatry.

In our home care in Vetlanda, we work in four districts, each consisting of two teams. In addition, there is a special team that works with support for disabilities and social psychiatry.

In home care, nurses and district nurses collaborate with nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists – and we have a close partnership with the nursing assistants in the field.

Home care is staffed around the clock, all year round, and provides care to individuals who, due to illness or disability, are cared for at home. As a nurse within support for disabilities, you will work daytime, Monday to Friday.

As a nurse with us, you will work in home care focusing on social psychiatry and disability care. If you have experience or further education in psychiatry, we see it as a valuable asset.

As a nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that the patient’s basic and specific care needs are met – physically, mentally, socially, and culturally. You also work preventively with health-promoting initiatives.

Your tasks include, among others:

• leading, prioritizing, distributing, and coordinating nursing work based on the patient’s needs
• assessing medical needs
• organizing and initiating doctor contacts
• assessing, following up, and documenting self-care
• providing advice and information to patients, relatives, staff, and colleagues
• informing, guiding, and educating patients, colleagues, students, staff, and relatives – both individually and in groups
• initiating and being responsible for quality and improvement work within the field of psychiatry

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable, with a professional approach and the ability to adapt to different situations. You are self-driven, attentive, and communicate constructively. You thrive with structure and find it easy to plan, organize, and prioritize your work.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse.
• Driver's license B.
• Specialist training in psychiatry and experience in psychiatric care is meritorious.
