Your new job

As a pharmacist with us, you will have a responsible and varied assignment where you work with quality and safety regarding medication management.

You will be an important piece of the puzzle in three health and medical care teams and will:

• Educate nursing staff in medication management prior to delegation and in other training initiatives in our operations regarding medication use
• Conduct medication reconciliations upon admission to municipal health and medical care regardless of living arrangement
• Maintain routines in the medication storage
• Have an active role in the implementation and management of medication reminders
• Be responsible for training within the operations, for example, for nursing staff prior to delegation of medication management and insulin delegation

Even though you work independently in your role, you will have close collaboration with nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists in our interdisciplinary teams. You will also collaborate with external parties such as doctors, health centers, and hospitals, as well as with relatives.

Your qualifications

• We are looking for someone who is a licensed pharmacist or licensed pharmacy technician
• You have at least two years of experience working in a pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, or municipal health and medical care
• Experience from municipal operations is an advantage
• We view positively if you have experience in leading training and/or taking responsibility for development work and projects
• You have good communication skills and communicate well in spoken and written Swedish
• A valid driver's license is required as a car is used in the job

To succeed in the role, you need to be comfortable planning and structuring your work independently in an efficient manner. You also need to have good collaboration skills and be able to adapt your approach and communication based on whom you are meeting. We also believe that you enjoy acting as a spider in the web and are stimulated by working with various types of tasks. Furthermore, you are meticulous, quality-conscious, and flexible.

Welcome to us

The Health and Medical Care Function (HS) is part of the Social Administration in Jönköping Municipality and consists of 13 HS teams and one Home Team. We have specialist orientations in psychiatry, palliative care, home rehabilitation, dementia, and functional support. Together, we are about 460 dedicated employees.

You will be based at Junexhuset in Huskvarna and become part of three health and medical care teams working in different geographical areas of the municipality:

• Team 1: Gränna with countryside, Visingsö, and Ölmstad.
• Team 2: Huskvarna south and center, Egnahem, Stensholm, Lekeryd, and Hakarps countryside.
• Team 3: Skärstad, Kaxholmen, Norrängen, Brunnstorp, parts of central Huskvarna, Vättersnäs, and Öxnehaga.

Good to know

The recruitment refers to a permanent position with a start date according to agreement. Jönköping Municipality works with full-time as the norm and always offers 100% employment. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

Selection takes place continuously during the application period, and interviews are planned for weeks 1 and 2.
