About Us

The Culture and Leisure Office consists of six different units/departments responsible for, among other things, sports and outdoor facilities, associations, cultural schools, libraries, outdoor museums, nature schools, general culture, as well as leisure centers and youth houses. We work on behalf of the Culture and Leisure Committee to create good conditions for meaningful leisure activities and an active lifestyle for the residents of Väsby. An important part of the Culture and Leisure Office's responsibility is to offer safe, secure, and suitable sports, leisure, and cultural facilities for both the municipality's associations and the residents of Väsby.

About the Position

The position involves having a coordinating responsibility over the Culture and Leisure Office's various investment projects related to facilities and premises. You will actively participate in several different project groups as a client for various types of facilities and premises, of course with support from the respective operations. You will also coordinate the Culture and Leisure Office's requests for operationally adapted measures in premises and have close cooperation with the Office for Community Building regarding the need for planned internal maintenance in our cultural and sports facilities.

You will also be the Culture and Leisure Office's representative in the municipality's work with long-term planning for sports, culture, and leisure facilities. You will be responsible for annually updating the office's needs analysis of facilities and premises. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other units and the office manager. You will also conduct various investigations related to premises, write service statements and reports to the committee, and respond to citizen proposals and referrals concerning facilities and community development.

The position is a temporary position for about 1 year.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• has a relevant university or college education, for example in urban planning, property development, project management, or other education that the employer deems relevant.
• has experience in project work within local and facility issues with budget responsibility.
• has documented experience in writing investigations and reports.
• master Swedish well both in speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in a politically governed organization.

As a person, you are structured and results-oriented. You organize and plan your work well, work ambitiously to meet set deadlines, and achieve good results. You have good collaboration skills and can balance between wishes and resources. You are confident in yourself and your competence.
