Welcome to the area of psychiatry, rehabilitation, and habilitation! Our mission is to offer all residents of Kronoberg County specialized psychiatric care, rehabilitation, and habilitation. Care should be provided in collaboration with other actors within and outside Region Kronoberg, with a cohesive care chain and patient participation in focus. We want to create good conditions for our patients to receive the right care and treatment from the best possible competence.

The mission of the elderly psychiatry is to provide specialized psychiatry for the elderly with mental disabilities. This includes elderly patients with mental illness, individuals in need of memory assessment at a specialist level, and individuals with severe BPSD problems requiring assessment/medication. Our catchment area covers all of Kronoberg County, where we have 8 inpatient beds and outpatient care. There is close cooperation with care neighbors such as municipal care, county hospital, and primary care. The unit consists of nurses, caregivers, senior physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries working in teams around the patient.

We are now looking for a nurse for our outpatient clinic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We work from a person-centered approach with both psychiatric and somatic care. We work in teams around the patient, and as a nurse, you have a coordinating responsibility for the patient's care. You participate in team meetings, assessments, investigations, treatments, patient guidance, treatment planning, and method development.

The treatment offerings include psychiatric and cognitive assessments and diagnostics, pharmacological and ECT treatment, as well as psychiatric and somatic care and nursing. As a nurse in outpatient care, you meet patients both in their home environment and in residential facilities, as well as at the elderly psychiatric clinic. Guidance for home care staff and staff in residential facilities is also included. Therefore, you need to feel comfortable meeting staff groups for guidance/mentoring/training in challenging care situations. There is also the opportunity and need to staff the clinic's ECT department.

If you have clinical experience as a nurse for at least 1 year, you will have the opportunity to apply for paid further education to become a specialist nurse in psychiatric care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with an interest in psychiatry and geriatrics. It is also valuable to have experience from somatic care, as many patients have a complex health situation.

Furthermore, we see that you are a team player who contributes with competence in the work around the patient and has a great commitment to your work. We value that you have good collaboration with your colleagues and contribute to a good work climate. As a person, you are proactive, structured, and skilled at creating and maintaining good contacts with our partners, but also flexible and able to adapt to changing situations, enjoying when your day is rich and varied.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Since travel is included in the position, a driver's license is a requirement.
