In your new role, you will be part of the central child and student health team where we work for cross-professional student health development. The position will be in the southern part of the municipality at the primary school. In your work team, you will have 3 school nurses to collaborate and develop together with (led by the medically responsible nurse).

Your new job

You are an important part of the schools' student health team where we always focus on the connection between learning and health. The purpose of student health work is to promote health and prevent issues while supporting students in reaching their goals. The teams are led by the school principal and consist of a school nurse, school counselor, and special educator/special teacher. We also have access to a psychologist and speech therapist in our teams.

The daily work involves you working with preventive and health-promoting activities according to the basic program based on the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Swedish National Agency for Education's document “Guidance for Student Health”. This includes health conversations, health checks, health information, and vaccinations. By contributing knowledge about protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development, you provide medical expertise as support in the preventive and promotional work at the school and in cross-professional teams.

In Markaryd Municipality, we use the Cambio Cosmic journal system.

Who are you?

First and foremost, we are looking for you who are a nurse with further education as a school nurse, health and medical care for children/youth, or open health and medical care. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in health work with children/youth or experience in collaboration with other functions.

If you are a licensed nurse and have a desire to further your education in the field, you are also welcome to apply. There may be an opportunity for us as an employer to participate in the cost of this.

You have a good ability to meet and listen to people in different situations. It is important to us that you have a big heart, drive, and commitment to our students. You should be able to work independently but also have an easy time collaborating with others. We would like you to have experience in cross-professional work. You should be flexible and able to structure work based on regulations and the needs of the operations. You should be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. We place great importance on personal suitability for the position.

The position is a permanent employment at 100% in Markaryd Municipality. Start date by agreement.
