Are you at the beginning of your career in electrical power and want to learn more about high voltage products? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Test Engineer for our Capacitor Laboratory at High Voltage Products in Ludvika.

High Voltage Products is a leading player in the development, manufacturing, and sales of high voltage products for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy. Our manufacturing units include surge arresters, circuit breakers, capacitors, and other related equipment. We also offer services that ensure product performance and extend their lifespan.

The High Power Laboratory is one of the few unique laboratories in the world for verifying the functionality of high voltage products under various switching moments that can occur in the power grid. We consist of several different laboratories, including the Capacitor Laboratory where this position is located. The laboratory is accredited by SWEDAC as an independent testing body for many different norms and standards.

As a Test Engineer, also called a “Test Leader,” in the Capacitor Laboratory, you will perform tests on various products manufactured by us. These tests include short-circuit tests, aging tests, and long-term tests. We are always at the forefront of technology and continuously invest in our facilities and equipment. You will be part of a strong team where we help each other develop both technically and personally, where everyone plays an incredibly important role. How You Will Impact

• Responsible for test assignments throughout the process – from test requests and technical reviews to calculations, circuit assembly, testing, and report writing
• Perform type tests according to international standards as well as development tests for our customers from around the world
• Responsible for electrical safety and the facility during testing
• Analyze the results from testing and write technical reports, primarily in English
• Regular contact with customers and inspectors during testing
• Together with your colleagues, you have the opportunity to develop and improve the operations

Your Background

• We see that you have a university or vocational education with a focus on electrical power or equivalent knowledge
• Experience in testing operations is an advantage
• Fluent English and Swedish in writing and speaking is a requirement
• You have an easy time absorbing technical information and can translate theoretical knowledge into practice
• You enjoy working in a team and can independently drive assignments
