The position belongs to the operations unit for property/recreation, which is under the public environment department. The unit is responsible for the operation of the municipality's properties and recreational facilities, along with associated outdoor and archipelago life for recreation.

The public environment department belongs to the technical administration. Our administration works to ensure that the municipality's traffic environment is safe and accessible, and that children, youth, and the elderly receive nutritious and good food in our school activities and special accommodations. We are responsible for residents' access to clean and fresh water from the tap. We handle the collection of household waste and waste facilities, cleaning for our administrative premises, contract and rental management, as well as service. Our responsibilities also include recreational facilities, parks, and playgrounds. Approximately 200 employees work in the administration focusing on strategy, sustainability, collegial learning, and collaboration across boundaries - with the best interests of companies and residents in mind!

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a sports facility caretaker, you will work with the operation and maintenance of the municipality's recreational and sports facilities, including construction, technical installations, repairs, and maintenance work. This may involve repairing machines, facilities, or docks. Operating and managing, for example, green space machines, ice machines, and cooling systems is also an important part of the job.

The job also includes the maintenance and upkeep of toilets, docks, and rest areas on our islands.

The work involves shift work with irregular hours and occasionally high workloads.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome applicants who have the following:

  • high school education/vocational training in construction and civil engineering or equivalent work experience
  • experience in construction/carpentry, electronics, and technology
  • driver's license B, as travel within and outside the municipality's borders is included

We see it as an advantage if you have:

  • BE license
  • experience with green space machines, have operated boats, and ice machines
