HYLTE PAPER AB is one of the most environmentally friendly paper producers with a long and proud history. We produce environmentally certified paper of world-leading quality using raw materials from locally and responsibly managed forests. The mill is located in the inland of Halland, about 50 km northeast of Halmstad, with a capacity of approximately 250,000 tons of paper.

What do we offer you?

You will have the opportunity to work together with all departments, and your work area encompasses the entire mill. This means you will have a broad area of responsibility, and the role of Environmental Engineer entails a varied daily routine with a lot of responsibility.
To succeed in the role, you will have engaged and helpful colleagues around you. You will be part of the mill's development department, which is also responsible for quality control, environmental issues, and management systems.
As a new employee at Hylte Paper, you will participate in our local orientation program, and you will also be offered and updated with current training along with various types of forums to ensure you have the right conditions to meet the expectations placed on you.
About the position
Work environment is an important factor in all decisions we make, and the entire organization continuously works to improve our work environment and safety, as we consider this critical for long-term and sustainable success.
In the role of Environmental Engineer, you will support the organization in the systematic work environment efforts with your expertise regarding the company's specific work environment.
Your tasks will include:
Investigation of risk environments
Work with behavior-based safety
Conduct risk analyses and safety observations and propose improvements
Map, measure, and analyze work environment factors and suggest measures
Participation in handling and follow-up of incidents and accidents
Planning and participation in internal and external audits within ISO
Administration of our management system
You will also be involved in projects where you will take an active and driving role with a focus on the work environment
The role also involves a lot of communication both internally and externally, and you are often the one who represents and is the face of the organization regarding work environment issues.
The position is full-time and working hours are during the day.
Who are you?
Of course, you are passionate about work environment issues but also have an interest in technology.
You are well acquainted with applicable laws and regulations in the field of work environment and you find it easy to create new contacts and feel comfortable communicating with people at all levels in a humble manner.
Given the variety and nature of the tasks, the role requires you to be structured, meticulous, and organized.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who is a trained Environmental Engineer or has an education that can be deemed equivalent. You have at least two years of professional experience in the field; experience from the process industry is an advantage. You have a good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English. You also have good computer skills.
