The Role of Security Operations Engineer with Us

Together with our team, you will be a requirements setter for new establishments and renovations of properties regarding the design and procurement of property security in the municipality.

This may involve technology such as locks, fire alarms, burglary and assault alarms, video surveillance, and its routines.

You will actively work to ensure the daily operation of security systems such as access control, burglary alarms, video surveillance, and key management. You will assist with the municipality's maintenance plan for security systems.

You will also be engaged in the establishment of new properties, participate in vulnerability assessments during new establishments and renovations of premises, and act as an advisor during the management phase. This means supporting managers and employees on issues regarding physical protection before, during, and after renovations or new establishments, as well as developing routines, informing, and educating on these matters.

Your Profile

We believe you are diplomatic, cooperative, and structured. You are constructive in your communication, clarifying expectations and adapting your message to the recipient's conditions. Of course, you have a security mindset with analytical ability, considering the whole and being proactive when the situation requires it. You drive your work forward and prioritize your tasks effectively. You see opportunities in changes, take initiatives, and come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as required in daily work. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

We are looking for someone who has:

• an adequate post-secondary education of at least 2 years, or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer
• knowledge of the Theft Protection Association's standards; burglary protection, buildings, and premises (SSF 200) and alarm classes (SSF 130)
• knowledge of physical property security such as alarms, access control, locks, evacuation, video surveillance
• knowledge of security systems such as ARX, iLOQ, and/or Milestone
• a valid driver's license (B)

As a security operations engineer, you will be placed in the Security Unit, based in Teknikens hus in central Kungsbacka. The Security Unit handles locks, alarms, key management, video surveillance, coordination of the municipality's systematic fire protection work, and related training. The Security Unit is also responsible for coordinating the municipality's internal security work related to the physical protection of the municipality's properties.

We offer a permanent full-time position with placement according to agreement.

The position may include on-call work. Security clearance for the position may be required.
