About us

We are a specialist resource within Region Sörmland based on specific knowledge of permanent disabilities and their consequences in everyday life. Habilitation is a complement to other healthcare services. Our mission involves assessing and providing habilitative interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as mobility impairments, multiple disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.

We operate from a centralized clinic in multidisciplinary teams divided into child, youth, and adult teams. The habilitation clinic in Eskilstuna is located in renovated premises in a nice environment next to Odlarskogen. We belong to the division of psychiatry and disabilities.

During your temporary position with us, you will receive support and assistance from experienced colleagues in your tasks.

Your tasks

We offer you a fun, stimulating, and developing job both individually and in a team consisting of various professions.

We provide interventions individually or in groups, at our clinic or in the individual's everyday environments. The interventions target both the patient, relatives, and in collaboration with the network. Since you will be an important part of the interdisciplinary team, it is essential that you enjoy working with others and believe that the best results are achieved together. Together with the rest of the team, you will establish habilitation plans and implement habilitative interventions. The professions meet regularly at cross-county professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues. Professional coordinators are available within the organization as support.

General description of the profession's tasks

• Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions based on needs within: gross motor function level, positioning, mobility, pain, breathing, and circulation.
• Information, advice, and support to patients, families, and networks.
• Pre- and post-operative assessment/action.
• Assessment and prescription of mobility technical/medical and orthopedic technical aids.
• Lead group activities such as pool therapy or other motor skills groups.
• Act as a consultant to other operations within the municipality and region.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed physiotherapist. Experience working in the field is an advantage, as well as knowledge of the habilitation target group. A valid driver's license (B) is required.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your ability to work collaboratively in a team and cooperate with other actors.
