About Us

The Nephrology Department, which is part of the medical clinic, provides both acute and planned care. Specialist doctors are affiliated with the operation. We have 14 care places for kidney patients as well as for general medicine patients. Adjacent to the department is a day care team. The department has two nursing leaders who act as mentors for new nurses and work with improvement and quality development.

For us, a good working environment is essential, and we continuously work on good communication, collaboration, and encourage individual development based on personal interests. We encourage all employees to participate in improvement work, both large and small, that is ongoing continuously in our department. Our goal is to provide safe and secure care to our patients.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include standard nursing work for nursing assistants, including basic nursing, monitoring parameters, and risk assessments. As a nursing assistant in the nephrology department, you will receive training in peritoneal dialysis treatment. You will have significant responsibility for fluid balance, which is essential for our kidney patients.

You will be responsible for documentation, understanding that this contributes to patient-safe care. You will work together in a care team with nurses and doctors. We offer you an orientation tailored to your skills and previous experience.

Your Qualifications

You have a recognized education as a nursing assistant. In addition to your grades as a nursing assistant, you need a certificate of your professional qualification as a nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate stating that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. Previous experience in inpatient care is preferred.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability as communication and good collaboration are essential for us. You are empathetic, take responsibility for your tasks, report to your colleagues, and are aware of our goal to provide quality care to our patients. You should be able to work independently and be receptive. Knowledge of nephrology and/or PD is an advantage. We place great importance on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with scheduling that is adapted to the operation, including weekend work 2 out of 5 weekends, and 2 out of 4 during the summer schedule. Individual schedule planning. Employment rate according to agreement. Start date according to agreement.
