Within the Health and Care Administration, we have full-time as the norm. This means that all permanent employees essentially have a full-time position. More information about what this entails for this position will be provided during a potential interview. The only exceptions (to full-time as the norm) are personal assistants.

Our workplace is located at Fyrisborgsgatan 1, and from here we conduct home visits in group homes and service apartments. Here, the licensed staff from the care committee are on the same floor. The shared facilities provide unique opportunities for collaboration, contacts, support, and development work within and between professions. The shared space and proximity to colleagues facilitate meetings in professional groups, various workgroups, and for joint development/training.

Job Description

As a nurse with us, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by contributing your skills, knowledge, and commitment with the patient at the center. Your role will involve working with a variety of tasks within your field. In your work as a nurse, you will be involved in assessments, treatment, and guidance for care staff in group homes/service apartments under LSS.

Your specific tasks will include:

  • performing HSL interventions and evaluating treatment results.
  • prescribing care
  • guiding and delegating HSL tasks to care staff.
  • managing medications
  • participating in team collaboration around patients

As a nurse, you will plan your days based on patients' needs and work in a team with other nurse colleagues, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and the operations manager. There is good support within the group. Our ambition is for you to develop the operations and yourself in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. We also see that you have worked for at least two years as a nurse, and it is an advantage if that experience is from municipal home care. The work requires proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Additionally, you need a B driver's license as the job may require you to travel by car.

As a person, we see that you are independent and flexible. You will have a large network of contacts, which means you will need to collaborate with various people. Furthermore, you have the ability to understand different situations to comprehend the user's circumstances to provide the best help.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of assistant nurse is a protected title. To use the title of assistant nurse, you must provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as an assistant nurse on July 1, 2023. If you have assistant nurse training but lack proof or certification, you may temporarily hold the title of care assistant.

We will request a criminal record extract before an employment offer can be made.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala municipality may involve a military placement.
