Your Workplace

The Dietitian Clinic in primary care consists of 11 dietitians and 2 administrative staff, along with our unit manager who is also a dietitian by training. We are part of Health and Rehabilitation in Region Värmland. Referrals mainly come from the county's health centers, and the dietitians are physically present at some of these to be close to patients and other staff.

In addition to our work with health centers, you will have the opportunity to participate in other collaborations such as the LEVA method together with maternal care, meal projects with forensic psychiatry, and dietitian resources in the nursing department (NÄVA).

In the dietitians' career development model, we have chosen to include the dietitian assistant role, which we see as an important step in shaping a professional identity and building new supportive colleagues.

Your Responsibilities

You will manage phone hours and some administrative tasks such as booking patients and administering the waiting list. Every day you will also have the chance to gain professional experience with our experienced dietitians through observations during patient visits and, where appropriate, also participate in patient conversations with a supervisor in the room.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone who has completed semester 4 or 5 of the dietitian program and who wants a meaningful summer job. We offer you a chance to start your upcoming career, gain a deeper understanding of the profession, practical knowledge about journals, routines, and an opportunity to begin building a network of colleagues in the industry. As a person, you are curious and have a positive outlook on meeting patients within healthcare.
