We are now strengthening our staffing in Västervik and are looking for more security guards for a part-time position. Working as a security guard is perfect for you who enjoy working independently and helping society and our customers in their daily lives. As a security guard at our office in Västervik, you will become part of a close-knit team. The length of shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. The schedule may also include work on weekends. The assignment primarily involves working as a patrolling security guard, but you may also support our stationary customer assignments as needed.

As a patrolling security guard, you are responsible for performing surveillance at several customers during your shift. You travel between customers using a service vehicle and conduct various types of inspections, including area surveillance, patrolling inside premises, alarm connections, and opening and closing for customers. In this role, it is important to document your work and any deviations you encounter. The work is independent and often feels free, but comes with a great responsibility. The role of a patrolling security guard suits you if you want a position where you can move around.

As a stationary security guard, you create safety on-site for our customers. The tasks vary and may include reception, access control, patrolling, alarm management, and camera surveillance. You work independently, under your own responsibility, and often both day and night.

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license

Preferred if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civilian or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from the first year of high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a comprehensive assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
