Job Responsibilities

During the summer of 2026, Familjebostäder offers several hundred young people summer jobs within our management.

The job responsibilities focus on ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant environment inside and outside our properties.

We are now looking for about 20 people to supervise their own group of young people (6-10 individuals). As a supervisor, you will work practically alongside the youth in Familjebostäder's work clothes.

The youth are aged 16-19. They work during the day for a three-week period, which means new summer workers will arrive every three weeks. The total period for summer workers is nine weeks, and your employment period will be from 8/6 to 17/8.

You will be part of one of our 11 local workgroups and work in a geographically defined area.

Working hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday. Being punctual is very important for this role.

The work is varied and involves physical movement both outdoors and indoors. Examples of job tasks may include gardening, litter picking, cleaning basements and attics, painting work, or other maintenance and care tasks. In some areas, it may also be relevant to participate in tenant activities.

Your employment starts with a week of introduction before the youth begin working. After the youth have finished, your employment period will conclude with a joint evaluation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can work the entire period from 8/6 to 17/8 and wants to work practically with young people.

You have previous experience working with youth, either in professional or community settings. You speak and write Swedish fluently.

You are reliable and comfortable leading a group, even in situations where the youth may challenge you. As a supervisor, you may find yourself in complex situations that require flexibility, commitment, and great patience.

You possess social skills and enjoy collaborating, are responsible, and pedagogical. You also need to be driven and it should be natural for you to take the initiative for work tasks and to create contact and dialogue for collaboration with youth and other area staff.

The content of the workdays can vary greatly depending on needs; being positive and solution-focused is crucial.

Having a driver's license is an advantage.

The supervisor job gives you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and your ability to manage. We offer you an important job where you make a contribution both to the city's youth and to our tenants.

As you will be working with children and young people, we will request a police record extract for candidates who proceed to the job interview.

A background check may also be part of the recruitment process for final candidates.
