About the workplace

The addiction care in Uddevalla has undergone a significant transformation and development where harm reduction, a holistic perspective, and truly individualized support are in focus.

We are also in the midst of an exciting initiative for a more preventive social services according to the new social services act. We are in a transitional phase to also be able to offer our support without needs assessment. Furthermore, you will play a central role in contributing to creating better conditions for the municipality's most needy, who are 20 years and older and need support for harmful use, addiction, and gambling.

Fenix Addiction Support Team is part of the Adult and Addiction Unit, where we have gathered Fenix, Compass Open Care Reception, and authority exercise within the area. This means that the entire chain is gathered under the same unit with one and the same manager.

The goal of Fenix Addiction Support Team is to offer high-quality local solutions, individually tailored and based on the individual's needs from a salutogenic perspective.

Job responsibilities

In your role as a treatment secretary, you will be responsible for a number of users to whom you offer individually tailored support that is designed together with the individual based on their needs and abilities. Some curative work may also be included, depending on the unit's needs. Furthermore, it may involve everything from practical support regarding, for example, home, finances, and suitable employment to change-oriented treatment conversations. We strongly believe in supportive relationships that are safe, last over time, are stable, and instill hope and belief in the individual's ability. The work should be based on a holistic perspective where you may need to function as the spider in the web in the support contacts the individual has or needs. Effective collaboration is part of the daily work together with interest and engagement for the target group.

In Uddevalla, there are many different forms of housing, housing first, emergency housing, training housing, housing with a private contract, etc. We work in close collaboration with the responsible social workers, and a particular strength is the good collaboration with the department's other providers and social workers, where we offer coordinated efforts based on the individual's needs.

We believe that change takes time and must be allowed to take time, therefore we work to offer support at home rather than temporary interventions in the form of external placements. Different people need different forms of support, therefore support may sometimes be given several times a day or sometimes once a week and everything in between.

Qualifications

You should have:

• Three-year university education/bachelor's degree equivalent to a social worker, social pedagogue.
• Experience working with people with addiction/dependency and co-morbidity.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing, preferably multilingual.
• Driving license B

You have a commitment to the target group, good self-awareness, calm, and secure in yourself. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge of addiction psychology.
• Knowledge of various CBT and MI-based working methods.
