Would you like to be part of an engaged team working to provide the best possible care for children and adolescents? The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Borås is part of the psychiatric department at Södra Älvsborg Hospital.

We operate at three clinics in Borås, Skene, and Alingsås, and together we receive and treat children and adolescents aged 0–18 years.

About our open position

As a dietitian with us, you will work across our three clinics in Borås, Skene, and Alingsås, providing you with a varied and developing daily routine. Your role will involve:

• Making assessments and offering individually tailored nutritional treatment.
• Supporting families in creating routines around meals based on the child's unique circumstances and needs.
• Collaborating with other dietitians within the department to share experiences and develop working methods.

About us

Our mission includes initial visits, assessments, and treatments for children and young people with mental health issues. We receive referrals from "One Path In" and make assessments to identify the need for evaluations and treatments. Currently, evaluations are conducted by SMART psychiatry and the regional evaluation team.

We offer treatments targeting:

• Anxiety and depression
• Trauma and PTSD
• Obsessive-compulsive disorder
• Neuropsychiatric issues (NP)

Treatments are conducted in groups or individually and involve children, adolescents, their families, and networks. We work holistically to create safety and support for the entire family.

Your profile

We are looking for a licensed dietitian who enjoys working closely with patients, families, and colleagues. You have a genuine commitment to the health of children and adolescents and a desire to contribute your knowledge to make a difference. Experience working with children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric diagnoses is an advantage but not a requirement. We offer ongoing internal training in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, where we seek someone who is responsible, flexible, and confident in their professional role.

We care about our patients and their relatives and place a high value on patient safety, with a routine of requesting extracts from the suspicion and criminal record for all individuals offered employment with us.
