We are looking for a chef with a great interest in cooking who wants to develop further with us at the camp. It is an advantage if you have training in cooking, but it is not a requirement as we primarily value your interest in cooking, relevant work experience, and your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment in close collaboration with your colleagues. We believe that you are a natural leader in the kitchen and dining room, used to taking initiative and working in a structured way, and that you enjoy an environment where children and young people make up the majority of our guests.

Working at the camp means that during the summer you will live at your workplace, at the campgrounds in Värmland. You will share accommodation with your colleagues while you work, about 5-6 people per room. The job requires that you are willing to be away from home for at least 6 weeks during the summer.

About the company

Utepedagogik Sverige AB runs camp activities at several campgrounds for children and young people aged 9-16 years, focusing on adventure and our operations are aimed at outdoor pedagogical activities. The cornerstones of Utepedagogik Sverige AB's pedagogical camp activities are: safety, quality, security, and community, as well as trained adults with a broad competence serving as good role models. Job responsibilities

As a chef at the camp, your main task is to deliver meals to camp participants and camp leaders, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including vegetarian and special diets. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in a large kitchen and are used to planning meals, but we primarily value an interest in cooking and the willingness to develop the operations together with your colleagues.

The kitchen at the camp is the heart of our operations, and as an employee in the kitchen, your tasks will vary between cooking, serving, and dishwashing. Together with a team of 6-7 people, you will be responsible for delivering breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our shared dining room to camp participants and camp leaders at our three campgrounds. Additionally, you will also receive deliveries, ensure that the campgrounds have snacks and evening meals, and prepare food for activities such as hiking/outings.

The work is done under the guidance of a kitchen manager. You must adhere to quality and hygiene requirements and be able to meet camp participants in a pedagogical and inspiring way, as we want the participants to discover the different aspects of cooking and potentially spark an understanding and future interest.

Experience

· Experience in a large kitchen or equivalent

Employment conditions

The position is full-time. You must be able to attend our training days on-site at the campground in Värmland from April 30 to May 3, and June 6 to 11. During the summer, you need to be able to work and thus be away from home for at least six weeks during the period from June 12 to August 16.
