Subject Description

Educational development is a central part of work within change programs aimed at strengthening higher education pedagogy. It encompasses knowledge in project and program management where industry experience is essential.

Job Responsibilities

The lecturer participates in the selection, prioritization, and management of a dozen development projects within the Future of Education. Specifically, the lecturer will act as a pedagogical advisor to the project managers who carry out development projects. Other tasks include methodological support in project portfolio management and change work, as well as operational support to program management in various matters to create analysis and documentation.

Eligibility

Eligible for employment as a lecturer is someone who has:

• completed a degree at the undergraduate or graduate level in the subject of employment or has equivalent competence.
• professional skills that are significant in relation to the subject content of the position and the tasks included in the employment.
• demonstrated pedagogical skills.

Assessment Criteria

The assessment criteria for employment as a lecturer at KTH are those specified in section 1.5 of KTH's employment regulations in relation to the established employment profile.

It is of utmost importance that the applicant has:

• professional skills relevant to the content of the position
• work experience outside of higher education
• higher education pedagogical training
• skills regarding development work in the field

It is of secondary importance that the applicant has:

• pedagogical skills. The assessment of pedagogical skills should also consider the person's ability to develop as a teacher even in the long term.
• subject-specific skills relevant to the content of the position
• administrative skills

It is also important that the applicant has:

• the ability to collaborate with the surrounding community.
• the ability to develop and lead operations and staff, as well as collaborative skills. This includes having knowledge of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality.
