The catering department in Vännäs is looking for a chef for Liljaskolan's kitchen, which prepares food for Hammarskolan and Liljaskolan's students as well as the preschool Lägret.

Every day, about 650 portions are prepared. Liljaskolan's kitchen is part of the municipality's catering department, where a team of about 30 employees in three different kitchens prepares food that is both good, varied, and nutritious for students and citizens.

Job Responsibilities:

As a chef, you will work with the varied tasks that occur in a large kitchen, such as cooking, planning, purchasing, preparation, and serving. Computer skills are necessary as much of our ordering, communication, and documentation is done this way. It is also required that you have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Cooperation between kitchens is very important for the operation, so it is possible to sometimes work in other kitchens and in other teams.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has a chef's education or equivalent education/experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. If you have experience working in a large kitchen, we consider it an advantage. We would also like you to have good knowledge and experience in preparing special diets.

In the work as a chef, creativity and the ability to be well-organized and efficient are very important. You should also be able to make decisions when needed and adapt to new conditions. Good collaboration skills and communication are important as the workgroup consists of many people. It is also important that you have the customer in focus, recognize the importance of service, and always work for a good reception.
