Unit Dalregementet

The Armed Forces defend Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose. The establishment of Dalregementet is part of the development of Sweden's defense capability. Until the regiment is developed to full capacity, including a new regimental area, the operations will be characterized by continuous development and change. Work methods will change over time to adapt to the growing organization and its operations.

The Workplace

The Infantry Battalion is responsible for basic training at Dalregementet. We train platoon leaders, squad leaders, and soldiers for war placement in our combat units or continued engagement in the Armed Forces. The battalion is organized into several training companies depending on the current training assignments. We are looking for assistant instructors who want to develop towards a future employment and/or further education towards professional or reserve officer.

Main Responsibilities

As an assistant instructor, you will:

  • Plan and conduct troop training assignments under the guidance of platoon leaders
  • Assist officers in conducting training up to platoon level within various branches of service
  • Act as a safety controller and accompanying officer/mentor during exercises with live and blank ammunition
  • Maintain and develop your physical condition
  • Participate as a student in selected courses within the framework of the officer training plan at I 13
  • Support the training organization with command and logistics

Qualifications - Requirements

  • Completed military service with approved grades (at least yes-2-2)
  • Completed squad leader training (GBU) with a passing result.
  • Driver's license B (latest at the start of employment)

Meritorious

  • Competence in weapon systems, e.g., KSP m/58 or GRG m/18
  • Military driving license
  • Military security guard
  • Meets basic eligibility for GOU (complete high school grades)

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who has a sense of order, is responsible, and has an easy time collaborating. You also want to learn new things and further develop within the Armed Forces. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Additional Information

Employment period: Fixed-term employment according to the BFA agreement, 2025-02-16 -- 2025-08-16 with the possibility of extension.

Expected start date: 2026-02-16 or by agreement.

Employment form: Command reinforcement according to the BFA agreement

Working hours: Full-time

Working time: 40 hours/week. The working hours include evening and weekend shifts with recurring Armed Forces days (FM days). The scheduling of working hours may vary depending on training and exercise activities where concentrated working hours with longer continuous leave occur.

Work location: Falun, but business trips may occur

Salary: Individual salary setting applies within the framework of the Armed Forces' salary policy

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

Dalregementet is one of the Armed Forces' new-old units with roots dating back to 1625. The regiment was re-established in 2021 following a decision by the parliament. Our operations are located in Falun, and we will contribute to training soldiers who build the infantry units of the future/Army.

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required.
