Our Operations

All job roles within geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine have one thing in common: it is meaningful, exciting, and developing to work in our field. Our tools are science and proven experience, and we have the combined resources of the Academic Hospital at our disposal. We are constantly working on improvement and have developed methods where the patient is placed at the center and the competence of all professions is utilized.

We are now looking for more assistants in the geriatrics section who can primarily work with supervision watch. Our inpatient departments are the orthopedic geriatric department 30B and the geriatric emergency department 30A.

Your Mission

As an assistant, you primarily work with the task of supervision watch, which means working closely and having constant supervision over a specific patient. This could be a patient who needs supervision watch for:

• To prevent falls.
• Medical safety. Watch to prevent important entrances and exits from being drawn through a distracting purpose.
• Care at the end of life. To ensure good care during the patient's final time.

As an assistant with a watch task, you participate in tasks related to the patient's care and support needs. This may involve accompanying the patient to the toilet, assisting with hygiene and dressing, as well as helping during meals and meaningful activities, etc. If you have completed term 3 of the nursing program or term 6 of the medical program, you can also be trained and work as a nursing assistant with nursing tasks in the care team. We will tell you more about this when we possibly meet for an interview.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is studying in a healthcare profession, such as the medical program, nursing program, or as a nursing assistant. It is advantageous if you have previously worked in care and support and have a calm and empathetic demeanor. You also need to be at least 18 years old to apply for this hourly position.

Your Skills

You are confident, have self-awareness, and have the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You work well with other people, are attentive, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. The role requires you to have the ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation. You have an interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and you strive to deliver solutions.
