Street Maintenance Worker

Location: Stockholm and surrounding areas

A street maintenance worker is a person who performs various types of maintenance and repair work on streets, roads, sidewalks, parking lots, bike paths, parks, and other public places. A street maintenance worker typically works outdoors in all weather conditions and may need to use various machines, vehicles, and tools.

Job responsibilities include:

• Sanitation work, e.g., graffiti removal
• Applying asphalt or concrete on roadways, sidewalks, parking lots, and bike paths
• Installing curbs and paving stones or laying stone and concrete slabs on walkways and roadways.
• Assembling playground equipment, stairs, retaining walls, as well as railings, signs, and other road markings.
• Winter work, shoveling snow, sanding slippery surfaces, repairing potholes.
• Supervisory work and winter preparedness may be included.
• Reporting of self-checks, personal diary, deviations, and workplace observations.
• Participating in planning and feedback to management.
• Operating machinery.

We expect you to have the ability to take initiative and to plan, execute, drive, and prioritize tasks independently. Being organized and structured is a given for you. Good computer skills and a valid driver's license (B) are required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

On-call duty is included in the position.

Requirements:

• At least a valid driver's license (B)
• Fluent Swedish
• Good computer skills
