The adapted primary school in Luleå municipality is located in Tunaskolan, where the focus is on communication and language development. Working in an adapted primary school today means that you are an important part of the children's development and learning, where educators are important role models for the children.

We work in teams consisting of engaged and knowledgeable employees - teaching teachers, preschool teachers, leisure educators/teachers in leisure homes, and student assistants. The students in the adapted primary school are distributed by stage into different groups during the school day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves a combination of teaching work during school hours and in leisure homes. As a teacher in the leisure home with us, you collaborate in the classroom during the school day. You support the students during lessons and in various social contexts throughout the school day. In the afternoon, you work in the leisure home. Based on the curriculum and our governing documents, you are responsible for and plan together with others in the work team for a meaningful activity for our students. The position also includes care and supervision in relevant student groups within the adapted primary school. The students can study according to both subjects and subject areas based on the adapted primary school's curricula. You can collaborate with all personnel categories.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a licensed teacher in leisure homes, but it may also be possible to consider someone who does not have a license. It is an advantage if you have good education in language development, knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches, and experience working with students who have an intellectual disability. It is also advantageous to have good IT skills for the continued work with the digital development of the school in Luleå.

As a person, you are approachable, service-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. You can work to create a calm and good learning environment. You have an unpretentious attitude and see the value in learning from and together with others. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
