About the Position
We are now looking for a part-time Interim Manager for the Student Department at Linköping University, with solid and documented experience in leadership with personnel responsibility. To succeed in this role, you have a genuine interest in supporting and developing employees, as well as creating a culture characterized by trust, security, and credibility. As an interim manager, you will face an exciting challenge where you achieve success by balancing between challenging and being flexible and attentive to the assignment and the organization.
In a changing context, you should be able to see opportunities in changes, occasions to influence forward. With a holistic perspective, you have the ability to quickly switch between both strategic and operational issues. For the role, you are required to have very good knowledge of Swedish and English due to both national and international target groups.
Linköping University conducts world-leading, cross-border research in areas such as materials, IT, and hearing. In the same spirit, LiU offers a large number of innovative programs, not least many professional programs for example doctors, teachers, business economists, and civil engineers.
Assignment Period and Scope:
The assignment as Interim Manager is a consulting position at 50% of a full-time position starting on 2026-01-26 and is expected to last for 12 months. Thereafter, there is some possibility of extension for 3 + 3 months.
Requirements for the Position:
- At least three (3) years of experience working as a manager/leader in either the public or private sector
- At least three (3) years of experience sitting on a management team
- Experience in developing administrative routines
- Experience in leading change
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Meritorious for the Position:
- Experience in developing customer service
- Experience and interest in developing digital working methods in reception, switchboard, and/or case management systems.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented with a good ability to build networks and establish trusting collaborations within a complex organization. Furthermore, you are structured, meticulous, and quality-conscious.
