The Development Unit is a newly established unit within Primary Care that works to coordinate, drive, and support the division's development and education efforts. The unit plays a central role in creating structure, quality, and sustainability in primary care's improvement work and serves as a hub for knowledge management, learning, and the organized introduction of new working methods. The work is carried out in close dialogue with operational managers, divisional management, the medical management responsible physician, and other support functions within healthcare.

As a development and education strategist, you will lead the work of the Development Unit to drive and coordinate development and education initiatives. The unit is in a phase of establishment, which means great opportunities to influence direction, working methods, and future development. This also includes recruiting and shaping the unit's team of business developers and education leaders who will contribute to the unit's mission.  

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for identifying needs, following up on projects and training, and contributing to the orderly and quality-assured introduction of new working methods. The work involves producing analyses, current situation mappings, and environmental monitoring as a basis for governance and improvement. You will support operations in matters related to processes, quality, accessibility, and patient safety, and be responsible for the development of the education platform and the coordination of educational initiatives. The unit also collaborates with regional and national actors such as RSS, knowledge management, care choices, the transformation unit, SKR, and the National Board of Health and Welfare. 

The role includes managerial responsibility for the unit's education leaders and business developers. You will lead and develop employees, be responsible for the work environment and results, and contribute to a sustainable and learning work culture. You will report to the divisional manager and be part of their management team. You will also serve as strategic support to the divisional management by producing reports, decision-making materials, and presentations and have extensive collaboration with both internal and external actors. Thus, the role includes both work as a Development and Education Strategist and as a manager.  

This position entails a permanent employment in your core profession with a fixed-term appointment as a manager for three years.

Requirements 

• Relevant academic education in healthcare or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer. 
• Experience in leadership, such as leading teams, functions, projects, or development work. 
• Relevant experience in improvement knowledge and change management, including digital transformation, as well as documented experience in implementing and following up on new working methods in operations. 
• Excellent ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. 
• Driving license B  

Desirable Qualifications 

• Previous experience in managerial roles with personnel and work environment responsibility. 
• Several years of experience in development, education, or quality work within healthcare, preferably in primary care. 
• Experience in leading larger development or change projects in complex organizations. 
• Familiarity with working with governing documents, process mapping, and follow-up systems as support for development, implementation, and quality assurance in operations. 

As a person, you have a strategic and analytical ability that you combine with a strong operational drive and the ability to translate strategies into concrete results. You can explain complex issues clearly, pedagogically, and tailored to the target audience, both verbally and in writing. You are relationship-building and comfortable in dialogue with various stakeholders and work independently with a good ability to structure, plan, and prioritize in a complex everyday life. Additionally, you find it easy to motivate, coordinate, and engage different professional groups around common goals.
