Product Specialist at INEOS Compounds

About the role

As a Product Specialist – or Product Technologist as we call it – you will play a key role in the company's technical team. You will become one of our experts in material development and technical customer support, working in close dialogue with production, sales, and external parties. The role is broad and varied, allowing you to combine laboratory work, problem-solving, and customer contact – often at a fast pace and with great freedom under responsibility.

Job Description

In the role of Product Specialist, you will among other things:

• Provide technical support to existing and potential customers
• Develop and optimize PVC-based formulations
• Ensure that our products meet technical and regulatory requirements
• Maintain close contact with production and understand the process flows in detail
• Test and evaluate new raw materials and technologies in collaboration with suppliers
• Participate in customer projects and drive technical improvements and problem-solving

Your responsibility will encompass around 75 active projects and a large number of material variants – which requires your ability to prioritize, follow up, and create structure in a dynamic context.

We are looking for you who

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A university degree in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or equivalent
• At least five years of experience in technical work, preferably within plastics, polymers, or plastic compounds.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing industry.
• A deep understanding of both our and our customers' manufacturing processes
• The ability to analyze technical problems and present practical solutions
• Knowledge of applicable regulations in the industry is an advantage
