We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with specialized training as a school nurse, pediatric nurse, or district nurse. You are interested in working with preventive health work and further developing a modern school nursing role. You have a good demeanor, can build trust with young people, possess good planning and prioritization skills, and can be flexible in situations that require it. If you have previously worked as a school nurse or have experience in health-promoting work/youth clinics, we see this as very positive. It is advantageous if you have good IT skills and experience with digital journal systems. Personal suitability is highly valued.

The mission of the student health service is to support students' development towards the goals of education primarily through health-promoting and preventive work.

As a school nurse, you contribute nursing and medical competence as support in the work with students' learning. You follow Cedergrenska's guidelines for the medical interventions of the student health service and participate in the school's student health work by:

-early identifying symptoms in students during health conversations that may indicate the need for extra adjustments or other interventions

-investigating and assessing the physical and mental health of individual students, sometimes as a basis for the school's investigative work and when establishing action programs

-increasing students' knowledge about a healthy lifestyle

-contributing knowledge about risk and protective factors for students' health, social situations, and learning

-offering time for spontaneous visits where simpler healthcare interventions are provided

-offering vaccinations according to the general vaccination program for children

As a school nurse, you are part of the school's student health team and have close collaboration with school management, EHT, mentors, educators, guardians, and authorities outside the school. The assignment also includes participating in the school's development work as well as in the joint development and quality assurance work within the medical student health service.

The work requires that you are secure in your professional role, can collaborate while also driving projects independently, are resourceful, and have a good ability to see opportunities in various situations. As support in your work, you are part of Cedergrenska's network for school nurses led by the medical operations manager.

Nyköping Strand Educational Center is part of Cedergrenska, which operates a total of 50 schools. The company was founded in 2007, and more schools have been gradually started from scratch or acquired since then. All schools operate independently under their own brands while receiving support from central functions. Cedergrenska has approximately 10,000 students and 1,700 employees. Most of the schools are located in Stockholm County, but operations also exist in Växjö, Lund, Nyköping, Uppsala, Örebro, and Östersund. This position is available at Nyköping Strand Educational Center. The school has a good reputation and works with several school forms and activities in parallel. Two national upper secondary programs, restaurant and food as well as hotel and tourism programs. Adult education has two paths, kitchen and bakery and pastry. In our adapted high school, we have programs for hotel, bakery, and restaurant. A total of about 200 students study with us, and the small format allows for direct influence. The school has openness in its operations in the teaching premises in the form of lunch and à la carte service where students can try their skills in a real living restaurant environment. The position is a part-time employment with a scope of 20-50%.

A probationary employment of 6 months applies. Start date is according to agreement.
