We are seeking a hands-on and service-oriented Technician who wants to work with installation, training, and service of our machines at licensees in an international role.

As a Technician, you will be part of our Machinery team, and together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for providing our customers/licensees with machines to produce floors and furniture using Välinge's click technology licenses.

What does the role of a traveling Technician entail?

Your mission is to carry out installations, training, and field service so that our licensees can produce efficiently. Initially, you will do this with a colleague to learn the machines/products and get to know our customers in the flooring and furniture industry. Internal training will be provided so that you feel confident before you go out on your own.

Your main tasks:

• Preparation for installation and service, from travel arrangements to ensuring the right items are available for delivery.

• Perform mechanical and partially electrical installations on new machines.

• Train personnel who will operate the machine and report on how the installation was carried out.

• Service and maintenance as well as updates on existing machines in production.

• Ensure that machines are properly documented both before delivery and after installation.

• Planned and emergency remote support. New and old users will eventually encounter problems and need help remotely.

When you are not out with customers, you will assemble, validate, and document products and test rigs that are under production. Here, you will be part of the latest developments at Välinge and thus have the opportunity to provide input on the final product.

The number of travel days varies throughout the year, but expect it to be around 70-90 travel days/year, with an average assignment lasting about 5 days. One-day trips and trips of up to 2 weeks also occur.

Who are you?

To succeed in the role of Technician, you need to have good mechanical skills, through education or work experience, as well as a strong interest in electrical engineering, automation, and control systems. You are curious and driven and have the desire to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements for the role:

• Mechanical competence as well as strong skills in electrical engineering and/or automation & control systems.

• Strong customer focus and service mindset.

• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems effectively.

• Good at collaborating with others and a customer-oriented attitude.

• Flexibility to travel regularly.

Your proficiency in Swedish and English is very good, both spoken and written. You are curious and enjoy learning new things, and you have a great passion for technology and problem-solving.

You obviously have a driver's license.
