Network Specialist at Region Halland

Responsibilities

You will work together with a group of highly skilled network specialists responsible for our entire network stack (WAN, LAN, WiFi) and data center environment, ensuring that critical environments function properly with a strong sense of responsibility.

This is a technically advanced operation, and it is essential to continuously be competent enough to meet challenges, monitor the external environment, and stay up-to-date.

We work with development, operations, management, and lifecycle management for the areas the team is responsible for. We also visit various operations for troubleshooting or replacement and new installation of hardware - switches/routers.

Examples of specific tasks:

• Troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Replacement, installations, upgrades, and deployment of software and hardware
• Participate in project work
• Lead the team's daily operations
• Plan and ensure technical deliveries of network accesses
• Operational planning with a focus on the future

About the workplace

As part of the network team at Region Halland, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly developing, advanced, and modern environment in one of Sweden's most socially vital operations. We are a close-knit group of twenty-five people in the department, forming part of our operations organization.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have extensive experience in the field and possess advanced knowledge regarding networks and network-related services. We also believe that you have previous work experience that has given you a broad technical understanding of other areas required for optimal functioning.

Specifically, we see that you have:

• Documented and practical experience in designing and implementing network topologies
• Documented and practical experience in data center networks and access networks
• Documented and practical experience in switching/routing
• Experience in network segmentation
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B as travel is required for troubleshooting on-site at operations

As a person, you are driven and engaged, interested in developing yourself and the organization. You are solution-oriented and see opportunities while contributing to a positive collaborative climate. You have good analytical skills and are proficient in informing and documenting. We see that you are a good communicator both in writing and verbally. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Interviews are planned for January 13 and 14 in Halmstad.
