Habilitation is specialized health care for children and adolescents with autism, intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, or acquired brain injuries. We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge of how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

Description

In December 2025, a new clinic will open within the child and adolescent habilitation in the Gothenburg area; Habiliteringen Gamlestaden.

We have moved into newly renovated premises located right by the tram stop SKF. After a reorganization, we will now focus on children and adolescents with permanent movement disabilities. The catchment area will include Hisingen and northeastern Gothenburg as well as Öckerö, Kungälv, Ale, Stenungsund, and Tjörn municipalities.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work, contribute to development, and also develop with us. We offer you a workplace with good collaboration and high competence. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and have close cooperation with other team members. Today, we have 3 teams consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, special educators, social workers, psychologists, nurses, doctors, and dietitians. Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist in Gamlestaden, you will have the opportunity to use your entire competence and also broaden it. Our operations target children and adolescents with permanent disabilities, primarily movement impairments.

As an occupational therapist, you will assess patients' abilities and activity levels, plan therapeutic interventions, including assistive device management, and implement them together with the patient, guardians, or others in the patient's network. Interventions are provided both individually and in groups, and the working method is largely consultative. Work takes place in the clinic's premises, in the patient's local environment when needed, and when possible, we offer digital care meetings. Collaborating with other healthcare providers and authorities is also part of your responsibilities.

The work is varied. You will be offered an introductory period and a mentor. The child and adolescent habilitation has good collaboration within the region, and when needs arise, we help each other between units.

Qualifications

You are a licensed occupational therapist.

Experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities and experience in habilitation is desirable. You need to be flexible, responsible, and enjoy problem-solving. You are confident in your professional role and thrive both in independent work and in collaboration with colleagues from different professions. A good approach towards patients and colleagues is a given for us, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As the job involves traveling, a B driver's license is desirable.
