Do you want to help shape the future of sustainable products and are passionate about working with engines and engine development? Here you will have the opportunity to work in a technically demanding environment where no two days are alike. If you thrive in a practical role where you get the chance to work in both forest and office environments, this could be the role for you!

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are now looking for a new colleague for the Testing and Verification department at Husqvarna's modern engine lab who wants to help develop the next generation of handheld products for the forestry industry and urban environments. In this role, you will work with fuel-powered products where you will be responsible for the development and optimization of combustion engines with a focus on exhaust emissions, engine performance, and efficiency. You will be offered a broad role where practical work with measurement and calibration/mapping is mixed with analysis and investigations of engine drivability. Calibration applies to both hardware and software. The tasks may also include some testing of engines for battery products. The department is in an exciting growth phase with many opportunities and technical challenges, where there is plenty of room for you to grow and develop your skills on-site.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine technical interest, both theoretical and practical - it is a great advantage if you have an interest in engines and a good understanding of how a fuel engine is constructed. To thrive in the role, we see that you work solution-oriented in an environment where theory meets practice. You are curious, engaged, and enjoy collaborating across different functions and disciplines.

You are offered

  • A role where you can express your practical interest, with opportunities to work outdoors in the forest and test products in their real environment.
  • Business trips, both national and international.
  • As a consultant for Academic Work, we offer great opportunities for you to grow professionally, build your network, and create valuable contacts for the future. Read more about our consulting offer.

  • Meeting testing requirements for drivability and being responsible for testing instructions
  • Investigating drivability-related issues

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a bachelor's degree in engineering, in mechanics or electronics
  • Has excellent knowledge of Swedish and English
