ABOUT THE POSITION

AH Automation in Karlstad is an expert in industrial automation, optimizing production for some of the most demanding industries in the Nordics through robotic cells, machine integration, and vision systems. As a machine designer at AH Automation, you will work on technically challenging automation projects for the manufacturing industry, alongside a competent team where innovation and commitment are at the center.

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will have a key role in automation projects, responsible for the technical design and the creation of drawing documentation. Here, you will participate early in the projects, from the sales process and concept development, and follow the project all the way to the finished product, including assembly, testing, and commissioning at the customer. You will also be responsible for developing standardized and scalable working methods. Through your work, you contribute to more efficient project deliveries and a strengthened design flow, while supporting the team's skills development and shaping the future working methods in machine design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mechanical design of customized machines and automation equipment
• Develop, review, and ensure the quality of technical specifications and drawings
• Lead and coordinate the technical development within mechanical systems and components
• Drive technological development and standardization of working methods
• Ensure that technical requirements and project goals are met in close collaboration with project managers and other technical disciplines
• Participate in testing, trials, and installations at the customer to ensure function, quality, and performance
• Ongoing contact with suppliers and customers

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanics, or a related field.
• Has several years of experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably within automation/robotics
• Has experience in structured development projects with clear processes and quality systems
• Has a basic understanding of machine safety regulations and how to adhere to them
• Fluently speaks and writes Swedish, as communication internally and externally is conducted in Swedish
