We at the Specialist Maternal Care Clinic are now looking for an ultrasound midwife, or a midwife who wants to further educate themselves to become an ultrasound midwife. At the Specialist Maternal Care Clinic, prenatal diagnostics and specialist care during pregnancy are performed. We work in a team with midwives, nursing assistants, doctors, and medical administrative staff. Annually, about 9,500 examinations are performed, which include obstetric ultrasounds and invasive sampling. We are 9 midwives working with obstetric ultrasounds. The obstetrics and gynecology area operates at Örebro University Hospital, Lindesberg, and Karlskoga hospitals. We actively work to develop research in women's health.

At Örebro University Hospital, there is an obstetric section with specialist maternal care and prenatal diagnostics, a delivery ward, and postnatal care. The gynecological section has outpatient, inpatient, and emergency gynecological care. There is also a fertility unit and an operating department.

As an ultrasound midwife with us, you will independently perform obstetric ultrasound examinations such as early ultrasounds, routine ultrasounds, growth checks, and flow measurements. The job also includes telephone counseling and care for pregnant women with complicated pregnancies. You will closely collaborate with experienced colleagues in a warm and professional team where we help each other and learn from one another. With us, you will receive regular continuing education. Training in ultrasound means you will undergo practical training with an experienced ultrasound midwife. Initially, the training will focus on routine ultrasounds. Before you are certified, you will complete SFOG's advanced course in obstetric ultrasound, with practical and theoretical examinations.

Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday, but some evening shifts may occur.
