About the assignment

In the Central Region, several large and socially important infrastructure and construction projects are underway in road and railway. For these initiatives, we are now looking for an experienced project engineer for the Swedish Transport Administration who will participate in the implementation of larger reconstruction and investment projects. The assignment involves work in several parallel projects and encompasses the entire project process – from planning and preparation of construction documents to implementation in production.

About the role

As a project engineer, you will be an important part of the project organization and work closely with project managers, internal specialists, and external stakeholders. You will support the projects in daily operations and contribute to ensuring structure, quality, and follow-up throughout the implementation phase.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Project follow-up work within time, cost, and forecasts
• Financial administration such as invoice and order management as well as work before year-end closing
• Project administration including document management, routines, and presentation materials
• Meeting administration, minute-taking, and coordination
• Support to project managers in planning, follow-up, and finance
• Follow-up of control programs, risk analyses, and project-specific requirements
• Quality follow-up of consultant documents and participation in handover to Maintenance
• Responsibility for structure and order in the Project Portal

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. Driving license B.
2. University or college education of at least 180 credits (120 points) with a technical focus, or other education combined with 2 years of work experience as a project engineer or in project management. These two years cannot be credited in two places.
3. Documented experience of working as a project engineer or in project management. The work must have been carried out for at least 48 months during the last 5 years. In completed assignments, the work must have been carried out independently and in good collaboration. Internships are not counted as work. To meet the requirement, the offered consultant must have worked at least 75% of a full-time position.
4. Documented knowledge and experience of budget work, planning, and risk management for at least 48 months during the last 5 years.
5. At least 12 months of documented work, during the last 5 years, with the management of contracts established according to AB 04, ABT 06, ABK 09. In completed assignments, the work must have been carried out independently and in good collaboration.
6. Documented experience of having worked as a project engineer or in project management within infrastructure road for at least 36 months during the last 5 years. To meet the requirement, the offered consultant must have worked at least 75% of a full-time position.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start no later than March 1, 2026, and is valid for 12 months from the date the contract comes into effect.

Option: The assignment is valid for 12 months with the possibility of extension through two options of 12 months each, under unchanged conditions.

Scope: Estimated occupancy rate for the assignment is 80–100% of the annual working time, amounting to 1,700 hours.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is Örebro or Eskilstuna. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's office for 3 days a week.

Travel in the service may occur, normally about 0–4 times per month.
