Job Responsibilities
As the Deputy Street and Park Manager, you will support the Street and Park Manager in daily leadership and act as a deputy in the manager's absence. You will participate in planning, organizing, and developing the operation and maintenance of public spaces in Höör Municipality. The role requires good planning skills and a broad understanding of both technical and economic aspects of operation and maintenance.
The position is newly established, offering significant opportunities to influence and develop the role based on your skills and experience.
You will work closely with the unit's two operations managers and other functions in the staff, such as street engineers, traffic engineers, and outdoor life coordinators. In this role, you will report directly to the Street and Park Manager.
As the Deputy Street and Park Manager, you will be responsible for:
- leading the unit's strategic goal work
- driving digitalization projects and the unit's work in GIS issues, such as the introduction of GIS systems for street information. We use GeoSECMA Park and green areas, excavation permits, traffic, and NVDB.
- leading the unit's work on stormwater issues from a street and park perspective.
- participating in the unit's management team and contributing to strategic development.
- environmental monitoring and development of the operational area.
- driving your own projects and/or supporting the unit's employees in projects by assisting in the procurement phase and liaising with contractors.
- participating in budget work and financial follow-up by producing financial documentation. We use Agresso.
- assisting in the procurement of operational contracts and following up on agreements.
- communicating with citizens and handling feedback and fault reports
- participating in local BRÅ and in the municipal risk and materiality analysis work.
- writing various types of decision-making documents and service letters.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Relevant university degree, preferably in technical education related to road and water, civil engineering, surveying, or other equivalent education.
- Several years of experience in the operational area.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
- Good IT skills
- Driver's license at least class B
Experience in several of the following areas is preferred:
- strategic planning
- GIS work
- Stormwater issues
- Digitalization processes
- economics and budget work
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- The Public Procurement Act (LOU)
- systematic work environment management (SAM)
- a supervisory role
As a person, you are communicative, unpretentious, structured, and analytical, while being self-driven and confident. You have experience in driving change and possess the ability to inspire and engage others. You are proactive, flexible, and see collaboration as an obvious part of your mission.
