Your Role

As a project manager, you are responsible for one or more contracts and you play an important role in driving projects that deliver value to our customers. The products delivered are various types of training systems and simulators and their associated equipment. Some of the projects you manage involve systems and targets for live-fire training. This type of project includes defining the characteristics of the shooting range in terms of protective berms, earthworks for rail-bound targets, installation, and system acceptance testing at the customer’s site.

You will work together with Operations to break down requirements, implement the necessary adaptations for each contract, be responsible for testing and verification at the customer, and finally carry out the delivery. You have a strong drive and confidence that allows you to work both independently and in a team. You will also have the opportunity to influence how we work today and how we can become even better.

Travel is expected in this role. The length and frequency of travel depend on the contract and customer.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who thrives in a leadership role and has an easy time creating many contacts both within and outside the organization. You are a communicative person who takes initiative while appreciating the value of a collaborative team where everyone lifts each other and focuses on well-being. You have a genuine interest in leading people, are skilled at building strong teams, and have the ability to drive work with clear structure and order.

Furthermore, you have a strong business interest, strategic thinking, and work proactively to gain a good overview of the operations. You balance an analytical perspective with strong planning skills and independently seek the information you need to drive the work forward.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you have:

• A technical degree at the university level
• Documented project management skills
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is advantageous if you have project management certification and experience working internationally. Our customers often have formal requirements regarding documentation, and therefore we believe you have prior experience in this area.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

You will be part of the Programs department at our headquarters in Huskvarna, Sweden. Programs consists of about 30 employees and has overall responsibility for T&S's global project portfolio towards the market.
