The Unit for Water and Nature Supervision

The unit works with supervision and assessment according to the Environmental Code in water activities, protected nature, and groundwater protection.

We strive for sustainable community development in physical planning. We handle many cases in the form of consultations, notification cases, permit, and exemption applications. In our unit, we have good cohesion where we discuss and support each other in our daily work.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a nature conservation officer who will work with supervision and assessment of nature conservation cases. Initially, the tasks will mainly consist of processing so-called 12:6 consultations and biotope protection exemptions. In the long term, other tasks may also be included, such as processing of reserve, shoreline protection, and species protection exemptions, as well as responding to referrals. The work involves many contacts with individuals, companies, and municipalities. You will be part of a group of officers working with similar cases where you provide each other with advice and support.

Qualifications

You have a scientific education at the university level with a focus on biology or environmental science. You have a B driver's license. You have at least 6 months of experience working with supervision or assessment according to the Environmental Code or related legislation. It is an advantage if you have experience in one or more areas relevant to the position. Experience from the public sector is also advantageous. You have good collaboration skills, take initiative, and have the ability to structure and prioritize your work. You have good analytical skills, are meticulous, and express yourself well in both speech and writing.

You represent the County Administrative Board in a trustworthy manner. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Conditions

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period with a start date according to agreement. Your job title at the authority will be officer.
