Welcome to us at the eye clinic at Östersund Hospital!

Here we take care of the entire spectrum of eye care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen. The eye clinic is one of the largest clinics at the hospital with over 30,000 visits per year. We are now looking for a nurse, eye nurse, or optometrist with an interest in eye care. We are a well-equipped clinic, and with the help of technical equipment, we examine and treat the different parts of the eye. The clinic also has its own surgical operations with three operating rooms where we perform cataract surgeries, plastic surgeries, and provide intravitreal injections.

We work closely together and have a well-functioning collaboration between different professional categories. With us, both specialist doctors and ST doctors, eye and general nurses, orthoptists, optometrists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries work. In total, we are just over 50 employees. We have continuous improvement efforts and strive to work at the top of our competence. At the eye clinic, you have significant personal responsibility and are part of the team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse or optometrist at the eye clinic, you will have a varied job with preparations for doctor appointments, emergency consultations, visual field examinations, OCT, etc.

As an eye nurse, additional responsibilities include your own consultations with assessment responsibility, telephone advice, and assistance in surgery.

The tasks will vary depending on the applicant's qualifications. We work daytime Monday to Friday, and the clinic closes at 16:15.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, eye nurse, or optometrist. Experience in eye care and further education in eye care is an advantage.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and good collaboration skills. You can organize your work efficiently, have a positive attitude, are flexible, meticulous, responsible, and have the ability to see the whole picture.
