Our client is a Swedish high-tech company in the defense industry, specializing in the development of advanced marine products and systems for underwater environments. Among other things, they work with torpedoes, mine systems, and autonomous or remotely operated underwater vehicles. The products operate in extreme environments below the water surface, which places high demands on both construction, software, and analysis. Innovation, precision, and reliability permeate the entire development chain.

In the role of Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting both development projects and production in quality matters. An important part is to ensure that products meet internal quality requirements, customer requirements, and relevant standards. The work also involves continuous improvement efforts to reduce errors and deviations. You will work closely with production, in direct contact with technicians and production, where you are a vital link in interpreting requirements, managing deviations, and contributing to ensuring product quality. The role offers great scope to influence both working methods and processes, especially as production is in a strong expansion phase and moving from small-scale to more serial-like manufacturing.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Ensuring product quality and being responsible for quality assurance methods in production and projects.
• Monitoring the quality situation and initiating appropriate measures when necessary, such as additional controls, updated instructions, or improved working methods.
• Conducting root cause analyses and driving corrective actions together with production technology and other technical functions.
• Participating in reviews and decision forums and contributing to robust control plans and processes.
• Writing internal delivery certificates and ensuring documentation prior to delivery.
• Contributing to long-term improvement work related to quality, standards, and work processes.

You find it easy to communicate technical information and create understanding of quality risks in both production and projects. We also see that you have: An engineering degree or equivalent work experience in production technology, development, or manufacturing industry. Experience working with quality issues and technical products, preferably with electronic content or cabling. Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.
