RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a software developer is an important piece in the municipality's work with digitalization and development through IT. You will be part of the IT department's unit for technology and development. In this unit, you will work with colleagues who are software developers, business developers, systems specialists, and IT management leaders.

You will also serve as a resource for the IT department's unit for business support. In the business support unit, there are several teams that support the management and development of the municipality's operational systems.

You will work closely with the operations to build relationships and networks that strengthen and support the needs of the operations and capture any problems and questions that underlie the need for software development. You will participate and support in projects, feasibility studies, procurements, and during the implementation and decommissioning of IT support.

In the role of software developer, you will develop smart practical solutions that contribute to streamlining the administration's processes based on the prioritized needs of the operations. Much of your time will be spent developing in the municipality's self-developed systems and platforms related to, for example:

• Application development
• E-services
• Integrations
• Automation

There you will work with development, requirements specification, and requirements gathering as well as troubleshooting and correcting developed functionality in various IT systems and applications.

QUALIFICATIONS

In the role of software developer, you have:

• Relevant academic education with a focus on computer science/digital transformation or other equivalent competence. Equivalent competence may also have been acquired through, for example, vocational training, courses, certifications, or documented work experience in the field, preferably from the public sector.
• Broad experience in the role of software developer and therefore possess good knowledge in software development.
• Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

You have at least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• C#, .Net, and/or Java
• SharePoint, PowerShell, MS Graph, and Entra ID
• SOAP, REST, XML, JSON

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience in:

• Domino design, xPages, document-based NoSQL-db, and JavaBeans
• UI-path RPA
• Agile development methodology
• User-centered design UX/UI

As a person, we are looking for someone who is a team player with the ability to keep multiple things in the air. You have a service-oriented approach and good communication skills. You have the ability to think long-term and analytically to translate complex problems into innovative solutions. You are easy to collaborate with and have the ability to inspire those around you.

A driving license (B) is not a merit but is seen as an advantage as the position may sometimes involve travel to other operations in the vicinity.
