About the Position

We are currently looking for care assistants for evening work at Marka Home Care. As a care assistant, you will contribute to ensuring that our customers receive good care and support. Marka Home Care strives to achieve high quality in our operations for those we serve. We achieve this by working in teams to create a common understanding of how we perform and plan for the customers' needs.

Your tasks include providing personal care and services such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and escorting. Additionally, you are expected to perform medical interventions on behalf of nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Besides the practical tasks, you are expected to document and maintain good communication with customers, relatives, and other professionals involved in the care we provide. As a care assistant with us, you will work both in a group and independently to plan, execute, and evaluate interventions based on the customer's needs.

About the Workplace

Marka Home Care currently has about 27 permanent employees, and the operations are divided into three geographical teams. We operate from Landbotorpsallén and primarily work in the areas of Brickebacken, Brickeberg, and the countryside around Norra bro/Gällersta. You will be welcomed by a pleasant group of colleagues who support each other in daily work, in the development of the operations, and who have a strong sense of community.

The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority functions in the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of care and support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As a care assistant with us, you are a reliable and stable person. You have the ability to meet customers in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and flexible way. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. You also find it easy to adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with customers and other staff as well as document what the operations require. Good computer skills are also required for documentation.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• proof of protected professional title, or be covered by the transitional regulations (permanent employed care assistant as of July 1, 2023)
• B driver's license
• ability to cycle

Meritorious:

• experience in care and support work
• experience working in Lifecare or equivalent operational systems

Start date: by agreement

Working hours: scheduled evenings and every other weekend

Other Information

As of July 1, 2023, care assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as a care assistant. While waiting for your proof, it is possible to be employed as a care aide. However, if you had a permanent position as a care assistant on July 1, 2023, you may continue to use the title.
