At the dermatology clinic, we investigate and treat skin diseases. The skin, our largest organ that protects our body from the outside world, is also a large part visible to others. Skin diseases therefore cause not only physical suffering, such as itching from eczema or pain from leg ulcers, but also significant psychological distress, as seen with severe acne on the face or widespread psoriasis.

The dermatology clinic is a smaller unit that currently consists of a nursing assistant and a medical care administrator. Doctors staff the clinic a few days a week, while on other days, nursing staff conduct their own consultations, including treatment of skin tumors, follow-up visits for chronic skin diseases, light therapy, bathing and moisturizing treatments, as well as treatment of hard-to-heal wounds. We actively work on developing existing nurse-led clinics and starting new ones to keep up with advancements in dermatology.

Assist doctors in the clinic, nursing work in the form of treatments and education, independent nurse consultations, telephone advice primarily for our patients - but also for colleagues in primary care, the municipality, and internally at the hospital. At the clinic, we work in a well-functioning team with close collaboration between professional groups, but independent work is also included. The dermatology clinic in Karlskoga is part of the dermatology section within the area of dermatology and rheumatology. All dermatology clinics in the region have a common operations manager and unit managers. At the county clinics, there is a section manager and a medically responsible doctor.

We are looking for a positive, driven, and engaged registered nurse. You should be responsible, flexible, and have a good demeanor towards colleagues and patients. We prefer that you have experience working in dermatology. We place great importance on personal suitability.
