The Care Administration operates on the principle that all people we meet have the same value and are unique. Within the administration, there are IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health care, home care, and special accommodations. About 800 employees work around the clock for our target groups.

We are now looking for two temporary nursing assistants for the special accommodation Tallbacken located in Horndal. Do you enjoy helping others? We are looking for you!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant at Tallbacken, your overall goal is to provide care of the highest quality. You work to support the residents so they can live their lives according to their own wishes and create a meaningful everyday life for each individual.

Your work includes providing personal care, which means assistance with dressing, hygiene, help during meals, and other daily needs. You work based on the individual implementation plans for each resident, getting to know their backgrounds, interests, and needs to adapt the care in a safe and personal way. You also promote social community by supporting residents in activities and hobbies that make their everyday life both meaningful and secure.

Your role also includes performing medical care delegated by a nurse, such as medication management and health condition observation. You collaborate closely with other professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and relatives, to create comprehensive care tailored to each resident's needs. Documentation is an important part of the work, and you are responsible for keeping accurate records according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), including reporting deviations and updating implementation plans.

The work consists of both day, evening, and weekend shifts, and it can be physically demanding with lifting and moving residents, goods, and laundry. Your work contributes to creating a good quality of life for the elderly while allowing them to feel secure and seen in their daily lives.

In the care work in Avesta municipality, joint planning is an important part of the organization. You will be employed in the Care Administration with placement at Tallbacken, but joint planning means that you will sometimes work at other units within the administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

To fit the role, you need to have completed and approved nursing assistant training. Experience in care-related work is an advantage, especially if you have previously worked with people living with dementia.

You have an interest in undergoing training in medication delegation, and previous experience in medication delegation is an advantage.

You have sufficient knowledge of Swedish to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and in your documentation. You are accustomed to using digital tools, as computers and mobile devices are a natural part of our work.

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in their professional role. You have the ability to maintain professionalism in various situations and are keen to provide a calm and accommodating response. We also appreciate that you can easily adapt to changing situations and work purposefully to achieve results, while being a good team player who collaborates smoothly with others and contributes to a constructive work environment.

The work requires a physique that can handle uncomfortable working positions, transfers, and a lot of movement such as walking up stairs, handling laundry, and supplies.
