Your mission

As part of Sweden's total defense, Haninge municipality is working to strengthen its preparedness to maintain essential community operations even during extraordinary events and ultimately war. We are now looking for an employee who can contribute to further developing the municipality's capacity in crisis preparedness and civil defense.

In the role of crisis coordinator, you will have a central position in coordinating and developing Haninge's work with crisis preparedness, resilience, and civil defense. The role combines operational tasks such as planning, exercising, and responding to actual events with work to build structures, processes, and collaboration forms that strengthen the municipality's resilience.

You will work closely with the municipality's various operations and collaborate both internally and with external actors. Particularly close cooperation will occur with your colleagues in the unit.

Your main tasks include:

• Coordinating and further developing the municipality's crisis preparedness, including the development of plans, analyses, and other types of governing documents,
• Driving and developing the municipality's work with civil defense,
• Developing the municipality's crisis management and war organization,
• Representing Haninge municipality in collaboration with other actors, primarily locally and within the county,
• Identifying risks, proposing measures, and following up on improvements to strengthen the municipality's resilience,
• Training the operations and participating in and leading exercises, both internal and external.

We are looking for someone who is action-oriented and solution-focused, where we as a unit provide good support to the municipality's administrations and companies so that Haninge municipality has sustainable structures. Since there is a lot happening in the field, we also want you to be flexible and have good analytical skills.

What we are looking for in you

We are looking for someone with relevant academic education in crisis preparedness, total defense, community safety, or similar, or other education combined with experience that the employer deems equivalent.

You have experience working with these issues, preferably from the public sector, as well as good knowledge of work within public administration and politically governed organizations. You also have a good understanding of the governance and legislation within the total defense area.

To succeed in the role, we see that you are analytical, structured, and results-oriented. In interactions with others, you are helpful, attentive, and collaborative. We place great emphasis on social skills and personal suitability.

You have an excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in planning, leading, and following up on exercises and training initiatives.

Information

The position is classified in a security class. Security clearance and background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted before employment. Therefore, Swedish citizenship is also required for the position.
