About the Position

As a senior physician/specialist physician with us, you will work with standard tasks within gynecology and obstetrics.

Your placement will primarily be during the day in the gynecological department, with outpatient care, surgery, and ward responsibility. There are good opportunities for your own professional development and further development of our operations if there is interest. You are expected to mentor less experienced colleagues, such as residents. On-call duty is included, where we have a primary on-call service on-site and a backup on-call with a 30-minute response time. There are good opportunities to shape your position according to your preferences with both part-time or full-time options and research opportunities. We also have the possibility to offer temporary accommodation if needed.

Women's Clinic Halmstad

KK Halmstad is part of the Women's Clinic at Halland Hospital, which operates in two other locations, Varberg and Kungsbacka. The units have a good collaboration. Your employment will be at the Women's Clinic at Halland Hospital with placement in Halmstad.

The unit in Halmstad is a suitably sized workplace where there are good opportunities for development, both personal and professional, as well as for the operations. We have a good sense of community and care about a good working environment.

Gynecology Halmstad

We are a well-functioning and driven operation with outpatient surgery, robotic surgery, benign gynecological surgery, oncology, and interdisciplinary teams in vulva, endometriosis, infertility, and incontinence.

We have a gynecological specialist outpatient clinic with emergency assignments during the day. We have approximately 10,000 doctor visits annually at our clinic. We have a gynecological inpatient care department with 5 beds and 3 day care places.

Obstetrics Halmstad

In Halmstad, we have an obstetric unit with about 2000 deliveries per year. We have a neonatal unit directly adjacent to the delivery room that takes care of children born from week 28 of pregnancy. This means that we in Halmstad handle all of Halland's high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. The obstetric unit is well-regarded and has excellent results.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a senior physician or specialist physician in obstetrics and gynecology. Backup call competence is an advantage but can also be developed after employment. You have a strong interest in developing knowledge and skills and a great ability to work in a team.

Furthermore, you are responsible and have the ability to work independently. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
