Responsibilities and Duties

As a project manager in Water and Wastewater, you will have a central role in the urban development of Linköping. You will be part of a knowledgeable and engaged team where you will collectively drive the infrastructure concerning water and wastewater forward. You will lead complex projects, often in early stages such as detailed planning processes. The role involves close collaboration with the municipality, internal stakeholders, external consultants, and other utility owners. The project portfolio spans both renewal, expansion, and coordination-intensive projects – ranging from smaller projects to extensive infrastructure investments.

Examples of Responsibilities

Lead projects within the water and wastewater area in all stages, particularly early stages and detailed planning processes.
Act as the main project manager for complex projects with many stakeholders.
Be responsible for budget, timeline, and public procurement.
Coordinate projects internally and externally, including with the municipality and other utility owners.
Manage project documentation, risk issues, and project follow-up.
Contribute to renewal projects and water and wastewater expansion as well as larger urban development projects.
Build and maintain important contact points and contribute to the development of working methods within the group.

Your Profile

You are engaged, driven, and solution-oriented with a good ability to create structure even in complex project environments. You collaborate well, communicate clearly, and can adapt your message to the audience. You have good self-awareness, work factually, and thrive in an environment where presence, dialogue, and collaboration are central.

We are looking for someone with a university degree in engineering or equivalent work experience that we assess as comparable. You have at least five years of experience in project management in larger and complex projects within utility infrastructure or urban development projects. You also have experience in direct or indirect land and construction contracts, preferably within water and wastewater and other utility infrastructure. You have experience driving large projects in the early stages of the process and have been responsible for budget and timeline in the projects. You have good experience and knowledge in procurement and LOU. You possess a driver's license, good knowledge of Swedish, and the Office suite. We consider it a significant advantage if you have previously worked in the water and wastewater area.
