Do you want to work as a Payroll Administrator/Receptionist?

Do you want to work in a role where you can express your organized and administrative side while your day is filled with social interaction and responsibility for the office environment? Verdis is currently looking for a Payroll Administrator/Receptionist for our new headquarters in Älvsjö – a unique combined position where you will play a key role in both our HR/payroll team and our office environment.

About the company

Verdis is a leading player in the waste management industry, responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients. We take pride in our commitment to sustainable solutions and creating a work environment where people can thrive and develop. We are now looking for a meticulous and service-oriented Payroll Administrator/Receptionist with a strong sense of quality and professionalism.

About the position

In this role, you will work both in our HR/payroll team and as a receptionist, making you a central part of both our internal processes and the daily operations at the headquarters. As a payroll administrator, you will help ensure that our employees receive accurate pay, that contracts and time reports comply with applicable regulations, and that we maintain high quality throughout the payroll process. You will handle matters such as absences, reimbursements, government reporting, and certificates, and you will support our managers with questions related to schedules, time reporting, and payroll. You will also work in our personnel and payroll systems and contribute to the development of work methods and routines.

At the same time, you will be Verdis's face to the outside world in the reception. You will greet visitors, handle mail and packages, be responsible for purchases, office services, and ensure that our common areas are welcoming and functional. You will also prepare for meetings, conferences, and other activities and keep much of the daily logistics at the office organized.

This combination means that no two days are the same. You need to enjoy switching between focused administrative work and more service-oriented tasks – and you should like being the one who keeps track of everything, creates structure, and sees what needs to be done.

Here, you will have a role where your patience, attention to detail, and positive attitude truly make a difference – both for our employees and for the business as a whole.

Who are you?

To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to see the big picture while having a sense of structure and detail. You easily create order, collaborate selflessly, and meet colleagues and visitors with a natural service focus. You take initiative when and where needed and work with quality and care as guiding principles.

We believe you have:

  • Good structure and attention to detail – you work methodically and ensure high quality in your processes
  • A selfless and helpful attitude – you support where needed and contribute to good collaboration
  • Strong administrative skills – you quickly learn new systems and routines
  • A professional and service-oriented demeanor – both internally and externally
  • A sense of responsibility – you take ownership of your tasks and meet deadlines

Requirements for the position

You are a trained payroll administrator or have equivalent experience and feel comfortable with administrative processes, digital tools, and the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. The role also includes some purchasing responsibility, which means you need to hold a B driver's license.

What do we offer?

We offer a work environment where collaboration, clarity, and engagement are in focus, and where you have the opportunity to grow in your role and take significant responsibility. You will be located in our new beautiful premises at the headquarters in Älvsjö.

Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Applications are made via our website, https://www.verdis.se/sv/arbeta-hos-oss/ (https://www.verdis.se/sv/arbeta-hos-oss/) or by clicking on “Apply now.” We do not accept applications via email.
