Our Operations

The Psychiatry Clinic for Young Adults offers highly specialized care for patients within specialist psychiatry at Akademiska sjukhuset. Our premises are centrally located at Kungsgatan 38. Our target group is individuals aged 18–25 who have been assessed to meet the criteria for bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and neuropsychiatric disabilities. At the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams. Your colleagues will include nurses, caregivers, social workers, doctors, psychologists, and secretaries.

Your Mission

We are looking for someone who wants to work with the patient at the center in an independent role to promote health. As a specialist nurse with us, you will primarily work with:

• Psychoeducation
• Suicide prevention
• Medication follow-up
• Consultation
• Health promotion work

The work is primarily independent with your own individual patient contacts that you follow over time. Together with other specialist nurses at the clinic, you will develop and follow up on psychiatric care. Since we are part of a university hospital, we regularly have students with us and participate in clinical research. Supervision and professional meetings are tools for quality assurance.

Your Competence

You who are applying are a licensed specialist nurse or studying to become a specialist nurse in psychiatric care. Experience from round-the-clock care and working with patients in the affective area is an advantage. As a person, you are secure, stable, and open. You enjoy working independently, have the ability to reflect, and like working in a team. In your work, you are solution-focused and patient-oriented. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
