Your Tasks

We are now looking for new colleagues who want to be part of our wonderful workgroup! The positions are permanent employment at 100%, and working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. With us, you will work to provide good service, create great relationships, and contribute to improving the quality of life for our users. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece in creating a meaningful daily life for our citizens in need of support, care, and welfare.

The position includes care tasks, which involve, for example, assistance with showering, dressing and undressing, cleaning, laundry, and walks. It may also be necessary to perform certain medical tasks after delegation by a nurse. In addition, you may also be required to assist in our kitchen as needed. Before your workday, you will read in our documentation system Treserva to be updated on what has happened since you last worked and also end the day by documenting events during the day.

We work based on IBIC (individual needs in focus) and with the individual's best interests in mind. Our work is also characterized by a salutogenic approach, which means focusing on the healthy and bringing out the person's own abilities.

Your Workplace

The Care and Welfare Administration is the department that conducts elderly care in municipal management in Linköping. There are approximately 1200 permanently employed staff and substitutes. Linköping Municipality has a long and well-established experience in care and welfare for our elderly residents.

Ljungsbro home care consists of Vretaliden/Härnebacken's sheltered housing, which is centrally located and close to nature in Ljungsbro. For example, there is proximity to both the Göta Canal and Cloetta. The operation has good bus connections. In the sheltered housing, there are apartments, recreational activities, and lunch service. The recreational activities consist of various meeting point activities for both residents of the sheltered housing and older people living in the area. This may include organizing game sessions, mini-gym, or cooking. Home care is based at the sheltered housing at Vretaliden, and when you go to help any of the individuals in need of your assistance, it is done by bicycle, car, or on foot.

You Who Are Applying

We are looking for someone with experience in care, support, and welfare work, or a completed high school education combined with experience in service work. If you also have training as a nursing assistant, we consider it an advantage.

Working in elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require you to be able to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is advantageous if you have experience documenting in journal systems. Being able to cycle is a requirement. If you have a B driver's license, we consider it an advantage.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations.
